Recognizing Excellence Around Champions of Health (REACH) Award
October 2019: Our Executive Director, Perry Gottesfeld, has been named one of the finalists and honorary game-changing innovator for our work in reducing silica exposures in the workplace to reduce Tuberculosis (TB). We were selected from more than 600 nominations for our critical contribution to the global disease elimination agenda.
OK International Wins Award at American Industrial Hygiene Association
On June 2, 2014 Perry Gottesfeld, Executive Director of Occupational Knowledge International, received the Social Responsibility Award from the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). The award, cosponsored by Bureau Veritas, recognizes leadership among environmental health professionals who have made significant contributions to advance environmental health and safety in communities most at need around the world. Funds from the Award will be used for our projects in developing countries.
The AIHA is the largest international association of environmental health and safety professionals with 10,000 members working in industry, government, labor, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations.

SEED Award
Occupational Knowledge International (OK International) has been recognized for launching one of the world's top entrepreneurial projects for sustainable development. The SEED Award -- Supporting Entrepreneurs for Environment and Development -- sponsored by the United Nations Environment and Development Programs, has honored OK International and their Indian partners in Bangkok at the IUCN World Conservation Union Congress on November 19, 2004. The prize is awarded to innovative, entrepreneurial ideas for multi-stakeholder partnerships contributing to the UNs' Millennium Development Goals. The top 12 projects were selected from an overall field of 240.
